Job discription
In this position the tasks and responsibilities are related to the managing of the permit to work system in order to establish a safe working environment during medium and larger projects.
The client PTW system forms the basis of the coordinator’s activities. If no PTW system is in place the system will be developed.
Duties
Duties include:
- Development of a PTW system;
- Implementing lock out procedures (electrical & mechanical );
- Preparing and registering permits to work;
- Inspecting to check that defined precautions are in place prior to start of work;
- Monitoring compliance of workers to the PTW requirements;
- Cancelling or closing out of permits;
- Inspecting to check that work areas are left safe prior to permit cancelation;
- Informing operational personnel regarding the reinstating of inhibits and lock outs;

Filing permits for future use and incident investigation.
