The safety coach is outsourced for a temporary period to a client. During this period the safety coach improves the safety awareness of the client’s personnel in accordance with the client’s requirements. There is a strong interaction with personnel and contractors in order to work towards a positive safety culture and safe working environment.
The radiation protection supervisor has the responsibility to safeguard personnel, the installation and equipment during work where ionising radiation is expected. In the oil and gas industry situations with ionising radiation are expected with NORM contaminated installations or wells.
In this position the tasks and responsibilities are related to the managing of the permit to work system in order to establish a safe working environment during medium and larger projects. The client PTW system forms the basis of the coordinator’s activities. If no PTW system is in place the system will be developed.
The scope of work for the HSE coordinator is to prepare, implement and monitor the safe systems of work during larger projects. This position is accountable to project managers and client HSE departments. He will give lead to a team of Safety officers and fire and safety guards who are working on the client’s site.
The safety officer is the direct representative of the client on site. He is accountable to the site management and the HSEQ department of a client. The scope of work for this position is to monitor the follow-up of any requirements of the client as instructed to them or described in the client’s safety management programs.
Differing from the traditional reactive fire watcher, the fire & safety guard has a pro-active approach towards his activities.
